To be a Gamemaster, fill out all the fields in the
form below. When you hit Submit, your info will be emailed
to the con coordinators, and they will enter it into
the schedule database after they review it. An explanation
of the questions follows the form.
You must run at least two blocks of events (four hours)
to be considered a Gamemaster and get a free badge.
Gamemasters still have to pay if they want to play in
tournaments that require a fee (like closed booster
tournamnents run by game store).
IMPORTANT!
Let us know in the Number of Players
field how many tables you will need for your event if
it is more than one, as well as how many players you
can accommodate. Most games need one table, but some
(such as miniatures games) may need two. If
you need more than two tables for an event, there will
be a cost of $4 per table for each additional table
after two. Usually more tables are needed for
big tournaments, and tourney GMs usually charge entrants
an entry fee, so it shouldn't be a problem. The main
reason for this change is so that people running tournaments
don't request 10 or 15 tables for their tourney when
it ends up that they'll only have a few entrants. This
way, GMs running tournaments will run smaller tournaments
which should be more full.
Here's a explaination of the above fields:
Event name: what you want the event to be called
in the schedule (for example: Battle of Winthrop Mountain
or Death Race 2002, not the name of the game system).
Preferred day / time: when you'd like to run
your event. Mention the day and the general time, like
'afternoon' or 'morning'. If we can't get close, we'll
email you.
Length of event: Blocks are a minimum of two
hours long. Let us know how many blocks you'll need.
Game rules: this is where you mention the game
system, like 'Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition' or
'Mage Knight' or, if it's home made, mention that.
Manufacturer: the company that produces the
game. If the rules are home made, mention that.
Difficulty: beginners, intermediate, expert,
must know rules, will teach rules...you get the general
idea.
Number of players: put the maximum number of
players here and also the minimum number, if there is
one. Also, let us know here if
you need more than one table.
Description: this is the description of what
the players can expect to be doing during the game and
what (if anything) they need to bring. It should only
be 2-4 sentences long.
Gamemaster: name of the person running the event.
Email: GM's email address. This will not be
displayed on the schedule or anywhere else, but will
be for the event coordinators to contact you, if necessary.
